A TWENTY-TWO-year-old who found and pocketed a phone worth £225 has been ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work.

Ben Jennings of Burford Close, Hobs Moat, appeared at Solihull Magistrates Court on Tuesday (April 3) charged with ‘theft by finding’ of a Samsung Galaxy i5801, belonging to woman, on November 11.

The court heard that Jennings suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and had already been on a community order for violent disorder from last year when the theft occurred.

He was sentenced to pay £80 costs and do 40 hours of unpaid work.
