TWO mothers from Solihull, have been fined for their childrens truancy.

The ten-year-old son of one mother had 36 unauthorised days of absence from February 20 to July 4, 2012 while the 12-year-old daughter of the other mother had 58 unauthorised absences from February 20, to July 6, 2012.

After being found guilty by Solihull Magistrates on September 13 both were ordered to pay £445.09 each in fines and costs.
