TWO members of Solihull Hospital’s communities team have been honoured at a national awards ceremony in London last week.

Cecily Harper, a community nurse in the borough for 25 years, was one of just four at the 200-strong event to receive the Outstanding Service Award for her work as district nurse, community matron and leading the multi- disciplinary teams for the virtual ward project.

The award for innovation and leadership was scooped by Carolyn Lindsey from Solihull community services, for her ‘water for wellbeing’ project to promote hydration among older people.

The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) Awards Ceremony celebrates outstanding service and innovative practice across the nursing profession.
