A VAN driver has been fined for carrying too much weight in his vehicle.

Twenty-five-year-old Neil Corbett, who works for Glass Express Midlands Ltd, was pulled over by police on the M5 Southbound, between junction two and three on April 23.

Solihull Magistrates Court heard on Monday that the van, which was transporting double glazed units at the time, had exceeded the legal weight limit.

Corbett, of Quilter Close, Coseley, pleaded guilty and was fined £100 and told to pay £80 costs and £15 victim surcharge.
