Calendar Girls has become the most successful play ever to tour the United Kingdom and has taken more at the box office than the original film.
The award winning producers of Calendar Girls, David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers, have announced that this will be the farewell tour before the amateur rights are released in September 2012.
Calendar Girls will make a welcome return to Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday, January 31 to Saturday, February 4, 2012. This marks the fourth time in two years the play has visited the theatre.
The original Calendar Girl herself, Lynda Bellingham, returns to the show with Jan Harvey, Sue Holderness, Camilla Dallerup, Deena Payne, Lisa Riley, June Watson and Ruth Madoc with Kavin Sacre as Lawrence the photographer and Joe McGann as John.

Original star of Calendar Girls, Lynda Bellingham continues to present ITVs popular afternoon chat show Loose Women. Other credits include the long running series of OXO television ads and Helen Herriot in All Creatures Great and Small. Jan Harvey played Jan Howard in the BBC's long running Howards Way. Other television credits include the BBC action series Bugs as well as Babs Woods in Family Affairs.
Sue Holderness is best known as Marlene Boyce in the BBC's hugely popular Only Fools and Horses as well as the spin off series The Green Green Grass. On stage, Sus credits include Alan Ayckbourn's Relatively Speaking and How the Other Half Loves.
Deena Payne is probably best known as Viv Hope in Emmerdale, a role shes played for eighteen years making her the longest serving female cast member on the programme.
Another Emmerdale star, Lisa Riley played Mandy Dingle winning the National Television Award for Most Popular Newcomer. Other credits include Youve Been Framed. June Watson, one of the UK's most versatile actresses can frequently be seen on our screens. Camilla Dallerup, one of the Strictly Come Dancing professionals, plays Elaine. Ruth Madoc, best known as Gladys Pugh in Hi-De-Hi has more recently been seen on our screens as Dafydd's mother in Little Britain.
Kavin Sacre, who plays Lawrence the photographer, joins Calendar Girls from Hollyoaks in which he plays the slightly disturbed Jake Dean. Kevin says he is thrilled to be joining Calendar Girls and touring with his wife, Camilla Dallerup! Joe McGann, whose credits include the TV comedy The Upper Hand, plays John.
Calendar Girls runs at Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday, January 31 until Saturday February 4, 2012.
Tickets for Calendar Girls are priced from s15 and are available at www.birminghamhippodrome.com or 0844 338 5000. Calls vary from 5p per minute. A five per cent transaction charge applies. Performance times are evenings 7.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday matinees 2pm and Saturday matinee 2.30pm.
