A ‘DISGRUNTLED’ bus user grabbed another passenger around the neck and verbally abused her because she was talking too loudly on her mobile phone.
The victim, who ironically managed to snap a picture of her alleged attacker on the phone, was travelling on the 97a bus service between Birmingham and Chelmsley Wood on June 15. At around 3pm, the man accused her of chatting too loudly.
The woman suffered scratches to her chest and neck when he grabbed her, trying to wrestle the handset from her grip, according to police.
Officers have now issued the image taken on the woman’s mobile phone to help trace the man.
PC Ashley Crowley said: “I would encourage the man pictured or anyone who knows him, to contact us.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have been travelling on the bus at this time to contact us with further details.”
The suspect is described as white, large build, aged around 65 with grey hair.
Anyone with information on his identity is asked to contact Solihull local policing unit on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
