TWO Shirley women have denied knowingly passing off fake £20 notes at a local fast food restaurant.

TWO Shirley women have denied knowingly passing off fake £20 notes at a local fast food restaurant.

Rebecca Morris, 24, of Shirley Park Road and Olga Harrison, 41, of Gilliver Road, had attempted to pay for items at a borough Burger King on June 25 using counterfeit notes, Solihull Magistrates Court heard. Both defendants were charged with passing off fake currency while Harrison was also charged with possession of another fake £20 note.

The case was adjourned for a committal hearing to crown court on November 22.
