LONG-standing plans to build a 112-bedroom hotel and restaurant, in Solihull town centre, are about to bear fruit.
Premier Inn has announced that work will start on its new Station Road premises, in March.
The chain said that the scheme would create around 45 jobs, and is due to be finished next spring.
It will be the first new-build hotel to open in the town centre for more than a decade.
John Bates, from Dorridge, is behind the £7.6m scheme – which he said would be a “real asset” to Solihull.
