TUNEFUL students from the City Technology College in Kingshurst were hitting the high note last week when they took part in the Heartlands Hospital Music Festival.
Youngsters from St Bernadette’s School in Yardley along with members of the Solihull Chandos Choir also took part in the event by entertaining patients and visitors with songs at the hospital’s main entrance.
Both Heartlands and Solihull hospitals run a comprehensive music and arts facility that sees volunteers perform regularly at the two sites.
Music Co-ordinator Esther Jackson from Heartlands Hospital, said: “Music plays an invaluable part in patient healing.
“And it improves the environment here at the hospital for both our visitors and patients.”
“The festival is an excellent way to recognise the wealth of talent in our community and to celebrate a wide variety of music traditions.”
