ANIMAL-loving youngsters are thoroughly enjoying the Picnic Time sessions at their local Pets at Home store.

All this week, families have flocked to the feeding sessions. The events are designed to teach the youngsters about animal feeding habits and how to care for pets responsibly.

Samantha Clarke, store manager, said: “The sessions will also dispel some common misconceptions about what should be fed to certain animals. For example, rabbits shouldn’t be fed lettuce as it is harmful to their digestive system and they can get very ill, instead feed them food such as cabbage, broccoli, kale or carrot.”

Picnic Time will be taking place at 2.30pm tomorrow and Sunday.
