SOLIHULL College recently said “Bonjour” to the Mayor of Cholet - the borough’s twin town in France.
Gilles Bourdouleix joined his opposite number, Councillor Norman Davies, for a tour of the Blossomfield Road campus.
The pair took a look around the college’s animal care unit and chatted with staff and students.
Monsieur Bourdouleix said: “I’ve had a great day at the college, the staff and students were very welcoming. The campus itself is very impressive. There seems to be a lot going on here and plenty of activities for students to get involved in.”
Our own mayor, Coun Davies, said the tour was a good way to welcome our Gallic cousins.
“Sharing educational practice is a large part of the twinning relationship and by seeing the college and meeting students our guests were able to learn about the further educational facilities available in the borough.”
Coun Davies’ predecessor, David Bell, was among a Solihull party to visit Cholet last spring.
