AN OAK tree has been donated to a local park by a generous Solihull resident.
Gordon Kiteley, of Knowle, donated the 7ft sapling to Elmdon Park. It replaces those trees set alight by vandals last June.
Along with members of Elmdon Park Support Group (EPSG) and Solihull Council’s park rangers, he planted the tree on February 2.
“I only hope that it will mature into a mighty oak tree for future generations to enjoy,” said Gordon.
