A MOTHER who drove off after she collided with a vehicle in a multi storey car park has been fined and given points on her licence.
Donna Lloyd, 27, was summoned to Solihull Magistrates Court after witnesses saw her hitting a parked car in the Chelmsley Circle car park and driving off on September 3.
Baljinder Kaur, prosecuting at Solihull Magistrates Court on Monday, said: “The defendant is seen hitting the vehicle as she is trying to park her car. She drives off and the witnesses take down her registration plate and passed it to the other driver.”
Lloyd, who pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene of an accident, told magistrates she has some mental problems and has no recollection of the collision taking place.
The Shard End Crescent resident added: “I am a new driver and I have since purchased a car with power assisted steering to help me with my manoeuvres.
“My car is my lifeline, it helps with my anxiety as I sometimes find it hard to leave the house.”
Lloyd, who already has points on her licence, was handed another seven by the bench and was fined £110. She was also asked to pay £80 costs and £15 victim surcharge.
