Table topping Olton put on a fine performance, scoring five goals in the second half.
Tom Pickersgill opened the scoring followed two minutes later by Jack Mallett and then Eddie James from close range.
At this point, the game completely opened up and Telford got a goal back. Shortly after, Olton were forced to make changes when Richard Allen was sin binned prompting Telford to continue their search for a second goal, which eventually came as Olton were caught on the break.
With Olton back to 11, further goals through James and Pickersgill took the final score to 5:3.
The result now provides a nine point cushion between league leaders Olton and the rest of the pack, with Khalsa and Lichfield in second and third respectively.
