Solihull Municipal recorded their first win in the Warwickshire League Premier Division with a three-wicket success at Hampton and Solihull.
Hampton and Solihull struggled against some tight bowling with the new ball from Alex Roslyn, whose initial nine-over burst conceded just ten runs for the prized scalp of Mike Daniels.
Shoaib Masood, Khalil Ahmed and Jon Stanley also kept runs to a minimum and from 128/2 with ten overs remaining, the home batsmen managed to reach 168/5.
Roslyn finished with 2/20, Stanley 2/19 and Ahmed 1/39.
The Municipal reply also found the going tough against the new-ball pairing of Gavin Sharp and Michael Sharp. The introduction of the experienced Mike Palmer (three wickets in five overs) saw the score at 74/5 after 21 overs.
Nathan Boyce and George Gray began to rebuild, off-spinner Tim Keyte going for 21 runs in two overs, as the pair added 86.
Tariq Malakhel bowled Boyce for 69 and Gray followed for 29 with five runs needed, but captain Kevin Bissett hit the winning runs in the 47th over.
The second X1 had an eight-wicket victory over Knowle & Dorridge 4th X1, having restricted the visitors to 115 all out.
