Bristow's bat speeds Olton & WW to first win

Olton and WW new first XI has recorded its first league win. Hot on winning a T20 competition, Olton scored an emphatic win over Fillongley at Grange Road.

Olton asked Fillongley to bat and began decisively with Marc Webb catching Blackmore off Phil Trilloe’s first ball of the match. Sunil Vyakaranam struck next and Trilloe shortly after to reduce Fillongley to 10-3. Ahsan Sayeed led a recovery but when he was caught by Gary Hawkins off Daniel Neale Fillongley were 65-5. Brown resisted briefly for 14 at the end of the innings but Fillongley were all out for 104.

Tony Bristow and Zaid Joseph set about the task of getting the runs and had an opening stand of 90 before Joseph was out for 27. Bristow finished on 65 not out as Olton wrapped up the match in 22 overs and by 7 wickets.
