“That was a crucial win,” said a happy Dominic Ostler after his Berkswell side recorded a vital home victory against Kidderminster Victoria.
It is a win that relieves some of the pressure on the Meeting House Lane side in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier Division of the Birmingham league.
Ostler added: “We knew just how important it was to get a win and, now that we have, some of the pressure on us has been removed. Although we are still in the danger zone we have created some breathing space between ourselves and the two clubs just below us, but we cannot take anything for granted.
“We must still continue to fight hard and pick up as many points as we possibly can if we are to stay in the top flight.”
On Saturday Berkswell play their last home game of the season against local rivals Knowle & Dorridge in what will be another crucial fixture for the Meeting House Lane side. The match starts at 12noon.
