MORE than 1,000 spectators packed into Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club for a Twenty20 game on Wednesday evening.

MORE than 1,000 spectators packed into Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club for a Twenty20 game on Wednesday evening.

South African legends Allan Donald and Herchelle Gibbs turned out for the sides led by former Warwickshire team-mates David Hemp and Michael Powell, as part of the latter's benefit year.

John Latham, head of fund raising at Care Leukaemia - the charity chosen by Powell, said: "It was a fantastic evening, the rain held off and we saw some excellent cricket."

The game ended in a tie with both teams scoring 193 runs off their 20 overs. ..SUPL:
