SILHILL'S recent successful spell came to an abrupt halt on Saturday as they were beaten by a youthful Ajax side in the Premier Division.
After only ten minutes, Tony Cox hammered in a loose ball from his fellow forward Jordan Jones that was lying invitingly in front of the Silhill net.
Jamie May had a great chance to level the scores but his strike crashed off the woodwork.
Then, just before half-time, centre back Conor Greensall doubled the hosts' lead to leave lethargic Silhill stunned.
May blazed over the bar in the second half but Ajax held firm.
On Saturday Silhill are at Handsworth GSOB.
