Beer cheer as Moors raise a glass to three year sponsorship deal

SOLIHULL Moors FC have secured a sponsorship deal worth more than £100,000 over three years.

The borough’s biggest football club announced the three year deal with brewers Molson Coors on Wednesday, the brewing giant also allowing another company to take on shirt sponsorship.

Marston Green firm Oak Property Developments will feature on the front of the club’s home kit - a deal worth around £15,000.

Cancer Research UK will be the main shirt sponsor on their new pink away shirt, in memory of former Moors manager Bob Faulkner who passed away last season from prostate cancer.

The Troop Aid charity will feature on the home shorts.

Moors commercial manager Tony Harris said: “Because of Coors generosity we have been able to support two charities.

“In support of Troop Aid we can offer free tickets to returning soldiers.

“The sponsorship deals also bring much needed funds into the club.

“We are still looking for sponsorship on T-shirts and tracksuits - as a team we get exposure locally and nationally.

“We look at ourselves as the biggest club in Solihull and the third biggest in Birmingham.

“We are pleased to work with Colson and to have them behind us. It’s always a congested marketplace.”

Moors first home games of the season in the Blue Square Bet North league are Eastwood on Tuesday (7.30pm) and Guiseley on Saturday, August 20 (3pm).

The Damson Park club also revealed they are working with the Premier League to coach youngsters from Kingshurst and children suffering from autism.
