MOORS boss Marcus Bignot is relishing the chance to play Conference side York City in the biggest game off the club's history.
Solihull Moors play Conference side York City in the first round proper of the FA Trophy on Saturday.
York play in the Blue Square Premier, a tier above Moors, and Solihull will travel to Bootham Crescent for a 3pm kick off.
Manager Bignot said: "This is what the club aspires to and I'm looking forward to it.
"York are a Conference and ex-league club with a lot of history.
"I'd rather be playing these games than mid-week away to Ossett Town, no offence to them.
"York are one of the favourites to get promotion. They're a very good team, one of the best in the Conference.
"We need to be at our best to stand any chance and that's what well be aiming towards."
Ryan Beswick will not be available for Saturday's clash due to a long term injury and new signing ex-Kidderminster Harrier player Dean Bennett is likely to be out too due to a calf injury sustained in his debut, Solihull's 5-1 win over Harrogate Town last Saturday.
"It might be a bit too soon for Dean," Bignot said.
"We've got tonight's training, some work still to do although he'll be a valuable asset to the squad."
On Tuesday Moors lost 3-0 to Histon.
"Everything went wrong, it was just one of those nights," Bignot said.
"Let's hope its just a one off.
"It's been a great run of games. We've had a lot of points from these games, just shy of two points a game, which is promotion form."
