For the third consecutive weekend the Blossomfield under-nine squad secured a tournament trophy.
Bloss returned to Stratford Town keen to defend last year’s title and comfortably negotiated their way through six qualifying matches to finish top of their group.
They met Kenilworth Town in the semis but this proved to be a one sided affair as Bloss ran rampant with a 7-1 win, highlighted by a hat-trick from Leo Wood.
Their opponents in the final, which was played on Stratford FCs main pitch, were Leamington Junior Cubs.
As well as giving a solid defensive performance, Bloss pressed forward straight from the start and quickly sealed the 2-0 win with two goals from Max Robinson.
Before that, the Bloss under-nine squad travelled to Redditch United’s tournament where, despite torrential weather and hard going pitches, they flew through the qualifiers to meet Phoenix United in the semis.
This was, as expected, a very tough, physical match and it ended level after full-time.
But the Bloss boys secured a final place by winning the sudden death penalty shoot-out.
Belvedere from Burton were their final opponents but despite another solid all-round performance, mistakes cost Bloss dearly and they went down 3-2 to finish as runners up.
Between the two tournaments, Bloss under-nines managed to squeeze in their presentation evening which was attended by Birmingham City boss Lee Clarke.
To the lads’ delight, Lee presented the trophies, which included Matt Richards (managers and parents), Nathan Corfield (players) and Jack Darling and Finn Howell (top trainers).
