NEW Solihull Moors chairman Nigel Collins is hoping the Blue Square North side's fans will flood back to the borough's biggest football club this season.
"It's our second year since the merger, and I'm hoping to see more people around this season."
Preparation for Moors' opening Blue Square North tie with Blyth Spartans continues tomorrow as they travel to British Gas Midland Division side Leamington.
The trip follows hot on the heels of Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Stratford Town.
Away boss, Mickey Moore, started the game with no fewer than EIGHT former Solihull Borough players and they deservedly took the lead.
However, powerhouse defender Theo Streete put Moors back on level terms and the game finished honours even.
Bob Faulkner has strengthened his squad this summer with the eye-catching signings of former Burton Albion star Jake Sedgemore, midfielder Simon Travis, and promising youngster Mike Tuohy.
Fans can catch a glimpse of the new arrivals as Moors' pre-season preparation continues.
The tough tie at Leamington will be followed by an even harder encounter as Coca Cola Championship outfit Birmingham City visit Damson Park on Wednesday July 30.
Collins is looking forward to the Blues game and hopes that the fans turn out in their numbers to cheer on the home side. Entrance to the game is just £5 for adults, with concessions tickets costing only £2.50.
The season is now only two weeks away and supporters are urged to snap up season tickets fast. Adult tickets are selling for £180, concessions, £90. Buying an adult season ticket represents excellent value for money as you get to watch every game for an average of £8.57 a game rather than paying £10 on the turnstile.
