Gloucester City 1 Solihull Moors 0
SOLIHULL Moors suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Gloucester City on Tuesday, but they must be scratching their heads as to how.
It was a terrible start for Solihull when as early as the fourth minute, Gloucester’s Marc Richards got between Theo Streete and Darren Stapleton to head home the opening goal.
The first half was a scrappy affair, with play being broken down by silly fouls and gamesmanship by the home players, as players from both teams, struggled to adapt to the windy conditions. The second half started with Moors continuing to have most of the possession, but without converting it into chances. However, it was the home team who clung on to claim all three points.
Solihull Moors 1 Farsley Celtic 2
MOORS home form deserted them on Saturday when Farsley Celtic completed the double over them. Moors will feel they were hard done by following several refereeing decisions went against them. The major decision was not to allow an equalising goal from Dean Lee when his shot appeared to everyone except the assistant referee to hit the roof of the net but it was not to be. Mark Gardner was Moors goal scorer.
