THIS result against Worcestershire Midland Combination rivals Pershore recorded Earls first league double of the season, Earls winning the corresponding fixture at Pershore 3-1.
After taking a 4-0 half time lead Earls introduced three substitutes in the second half and took their foot off the pedal to let Pershore back into the game to reduce the arrears.
Earls opened their account after seven minutes when Charisma Aboglahor was put away by Sam Wills down the left flank to beat the keeper.
Earls were very much on top except for the odd breakaway by the visitors and on one of these occasions a shot by Sean Cooke Brought off a good save from Earl’s keeper Richard Taylor. However after 18 minutes Aboglahor doubled his and Earls goals when his shot was slightly deflected by a defender past the Pershore keeper into the net.
Earlswood added a third goal after 32 minutes, this time Aboglahor playing the provider for Wills to score. Seven minutes later Dale Edwards made it four.
Pershore came back into it in the second half, scoring a scrambled goal of their own after 70 minutes. Earls then rang the changes to give their subs a run out for Wednesday’s County Floodlit Cup game at Dudley Town but without adding to their account.
On Saturday Earls play Brocton away in the MCP division.
