Earlswood Town 3 Walsall Wood 0
EARLS have now won their last three Midland Combination Premier League games scoring ten and only conceding one goal.
This game was closer than the scoreline suggests with a much improved bottom of the table Walsall Wood, with a new manager and a number of new signings in situ, playing some good football which should help them to climb the league.
Both teams were creating chances and after 31 minutes a Danny Dehan free kick was hit home by Chris Hanson for Earlswood via the underside of the cross bar and although Walsall Wood keeper Lee Evans scooped the ball away the assistant referee ruled that it had crossed the line.
Earls were not having it all their own way until on 63 minutes a header out by the Walsall defence saw Simon Volante volley home an unstoppable shot from outside the penalty area.
Then on 69 minutes Django Farrell put a long pass through to Reece Hewitt who took the ball round the advancing goalkeeper and slotted home from a wide angle.
Earlswood Town face Pershore Town away, kick off 3pm on Saturday.
