EARLS travelled to high flying Nuneaton Griff with a team weakened by injuries for this Midland Combination Premier Division game and, after taking a 2-1 lead, succumbed to two late goals.

The home side took the lead in the 39th minute but Earls equalised through Harry White. They took the lead through Michael Skerrett just before half time.

Earls were on top for much of the second half but a mistake in midfield allowed Aden Moore to get the equaliser.

Six minutes later Griff were ahead but in injury time Earlswood’s Harry White was tripped in the penalty area and Sam Wills took the spot kick only to have it saved by the Griff goalkeeper but the rebound came back and Wills scored.

Earls thought they had taken a share of the points but luck was against them as Nuneaton’s Dan Robinson gave them a 94th minute lead.
