AN EASY 6-0 victory over Knowle kept Solihull & Shirley Badminton Club Ladies 2nd team title challenge alive.

Becci Crawshaw, Debbie Darkes, Grace & Di Ollivent helped continued their push with an excellent performance.

The mixed teams endured a frustrating week in Division One of the Birmingham League though.

Joe Hulse & Alison Cookson were in super form for the mixed 2nd team but unfortunately the match resulted in a 7-2 loss. Captain John Hudson & Di Ollivent once again played well for the mixed 1st team to win all of their rubbers against Birmingham Uni in the same division. Although all of the first games were won by the S & S side, Birmingham Uni turned it around to complete a 6-3 victory.

Juniors from the performance centre; George Ollivent, Ryan Bland & Vinnay Mistry played superbly in their match to help Coach Phil Bland complete a 4-2 victory over Bordesley Villagers in the 3rd division.

In the brand-new Singles' league, Vanessa Ballesteros teamed up with Seb Drury to hammer the UBMS 3rd team 5-0 and continue to lead Division C.
