SOLIHULL Moors manager Bob Faulkner will leave nothing to chance on Saturday as his side attempt to book their place in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round when they entertain Barwell.
Faulkner, pictured, won’t be taken in by Barwell’s Evo-Stick League Division One South status as the Leicester-based side are sweeping all before them this term - just as they did last season when they ran away with the Midland Alliance league title.
Moors will have a good idea of what to expect having signed Barwell’s leading marksman Adam Cunnington during the summer. Cunnington has already made his mark with Moors and is currently their leading goalscorer this term.
Chairman Nigel Collins confirmed: “ Adam will be eager to show Barwell what they are missing - but that said, he left them on very good terms and still has a great affection for the club”.
Barwell have won all eight of their Evo-Stick League games this season but did show they are not completely infallible this week when losing to Lincoln United in the FA Trophy.
More significant could be that Barwell have just lost manager Marcus Law who has gone to Blue Square Bet Premier side Kettering leaving his assistant Mark O’Brien in charge.
Moors have a full squad to select from but will be aware of the threat Barwell could pose and chairman Collins claims:
“We are the biggest game in the area this weekend and it would be great to see some extra support. at Damson Park.”
