Earlswood Town 1 Coventry Copsewood 3
THE visitors took the lead after just six minutes in this Midlands Combinaiton Premier Division fixture when the Michael Bowden fired in a shot just inside the post.
But Earls came back to force a couple of corners before they found themselves two goals down after 11 minutes when Steve Darlington failed to clear the ball as it bobbed about in the Earls’ penalty area and Civzelis lobbed the ball over Mark Shiels into the net.
Earls fought their way back and after 31 minutes were awarded a penalty when Django Farrell was brought down in the box. He duly picked himself up to score from the spot.
A clumsy challenge then gave Copsewood a penalty in the 51st minute but Shiels brilliantly dived to his right to punch the ball clear.
Earls pushed forward to try and get an equaliser but it was Copsewood who increased their lead after 67 minutes when a long ball upfield found Ward unmarked to lob the ball into the net.
