KNOWLE FC had mixed results over the weekend after beating local rivals Castle Vale JKS but losing to Southam United.
In their game against Vale, Knowle came flying out of the blocks with Mykey Pryce latching on to a through ball and lobbing the JKS keeper after only 18 seconds.
Vale equalised only a few minutes later, but on 19 minutes, Steve Barrett finished with an outrageous flick to put Knowle back into the lead. Knowle increased their lead just a minute later when veteran Jason Hall reacted quickest after a goalmouth scramble.
The Robins made a poor start to the second half and conceded a second goal on 48 minutes, but managed not to concede any more goals and ran out 3-2 winners.
Against Southam United two days later, Knowle gifted their opponents an early lead when a corner came right across the area and was bundled in at the far post.
Knowle’s best efforts came from Jimmy Anderson, but it was no surprise when Southam went two up early in the second half.
The game petered out with ten minutes to go when Southam scored their third with a deflected shot from just inside the area.
