THE funeral was due to take place of former Solihull Borough striker Ian Crawley who lost his two year battle with Motor Neurone Disease last week.
Ian, who was 49, made 23 appearances during a brief stay at the club in the 1993-94 season.
During an illustrious career he played for Nuneaton Borough, Bedworth United, Kettering Town and Telford United.
Among the highlights was scoring the winner for VS Rugby in their 1-0 FA Vase final winner over Halesowen Town at Wembley, a feat he repeated for Telford when they won the FA Trophy in 1989.
