Frain hoping for cup glory

EXCITED Highgate boss Peter Frain is looking forward to seeing his side take on Romulus tomorrow in the FA Cup Preliminary round.

EXCITED Highgate boss Peter Frain is looking forward to seeing his side take on Romulus tomorrow in the FA Cup Preliminary round.

The BGB Midlands Division One side travel to Tythe Barn Lane hoping to match the achievements of giant-killing league rivals Chasetown last year.

The Scholars beat Team Bath and Port Vale to set up a third round tie with eventual finalists Cardiff City.

But Frain is hoping for a good performance from Highgate after a dismal performance last week.

"I think if we can put Monday's game behind us, we are capable of pushing up the league table and having quite a successful season.

"But I'm looking forward to our FA Cup tie (tomorrow) and hopefully we can get a through people through the gate."

The Bank Holiday weekend ended with two home draws for Highgate as they conceded in the last minute against Causeway United in a game that finished 2-2, but were lucky to scrape a draw 1-1 against Alvechurch.
