SOLIHULL Moors take on Rushall Olympic on Tuesday in the Quarter Finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
The exciting competition remains Moors’ only hope of gaining any silverware this year and manager Bob Faulkner is determined to progress.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult tie because they have done well to get to this stage,” he said.
“Cup matches are always difficult, but with our recent form there’s no reason why we can’t progress.”
After beating Rugby Town and League One outfit Walsall in the previous two rounds, Moors will be hoping to progress to the semi-finals.
One man hoping to keep his place in the team is Alex Price who has featured in the last two games.
The 17-year-old gave away a penalty on his full debut for the club but Faulkner believes he has a big future ahead of him.
“The lad’s got great courage to put in the performance he did after unfortunately giving away a penalty,” he said.
“He’s got potential but the Blue Square North is a tough league and you need to match the physical demands.
“As he gets older he will get stronger. With his talent he can develop into a good player.”
Tickets for Tuesday’s game have been reduced to £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.
