HAMPTON Sports twice fought back from falling behind, to beat Nuneaton Town Community, in the John Bryan League Youth Cup Final, a fortnight ago.
Two Morgan Taylor headers levelled the scores, but after the break goals from Danny Wilkins, and Nicholas Burbridge, sealed the win.
Nuneaton finished top in the John Bryan League, with Hampton in third place, but it was the Solihull side who earned the bragging rights in the cup.
With just a few minutes on the clock, Nuneaton took the lead, however, a quick-fire equaliser from Taylor set up an exciting game.
In a typical end-to-end cup tie Nuneaton took the lead once more, despite the run of play.
Lorenzo De Foe’s side continued to press, and got their rewards, when another splendid header from Taylor flew in to make it 2-2.
Hampton then continued to take the initiative, and from a resulting free kick outside the box, Danny Wilkins converted to make it 3-2.
Nuneaton responded by throwing caution to the wind, and put Hampton under pressure with what was a flurry of consecutive corners.
However, it was to be Hampton’s day as they continued to make chances, and eventually got the killer goal from Nicholas Burbidge.
