Knowle 1 Castle Vale 2

A DISAPPOINTING defeat against in-form Castle Vale has left Dave Cox and his side nervously looking over their shoulders at the foot of Division One of the Midland Combination.

A DISAPPOINTING defeat against in-form Castle Vale has left Dave Cox and his side nervously looking over their shoulders at the foot of Division One of the Midland Combination.

Knowle sit five points above the relegation zone, however the Robins have played more games than all their rivals below them.

The visitors took the lead through Chris Andrews after a well-crafted move left Sean Edwards with no chance in the Knowle goal.

Scott Oliver equalised just before half time with his 6th goal of the season but after the break Castle Vale looked like the stronger team.

With 15 minutes remaining the away side found the vital breakthrough when Ellis smashed in the winner.

A win tomorrow against Coventry Copsewood will help Knowle breathe easy, for another week at least. But they will have to do without suspended Matt Shakespeare though who was dismissed for two bookable offences last week.
