AN EXTRA-time strike from Nathan Hands helped Knowle progress to round three of the Challenge Cup.
The Robins reached the semi-final of the competition last year however when Ryan Allmark opened the scoring for the visitors, Knowle began to wonder if they were looking at an early exit.
Veteran Andy Williams had other ideas though as he levelled the scores with a poweful header from Matt Shakespeare's flick-on.
After the break the visitors lost their keeper to injury, and then his outfield replacement was given his marching orders a minute later for kicking Mykey Pryce at chest height when he was through on goal.
However the home side couldn't find a way through in normal time, but had Hands to thank for his 12-yard strike in extra time.
Knowle return to league action tomorrow when they travel to Brockton.
