Solihull Moors have bought former Blues prospect James McPike back to Damson Park in a bid to get more goals for the struggling club.
Manager Bob Faulkner had McPike on loan last season and his goals helped the Moors stay in the Conference North.
He moved to Conference Premier high-fliers Kettering in the summer but has now been released.
“We didn’t want to lose James. If we could have signed him at the time we would have, but we couldn’t afford him,” said Moors chairman Nigel Collins.
“For some reason things haven’t worked out at Kettering and we’re delighted to have him back.’’
Faulkner has also added wide-man Greg Mills to his ranks, on an initial one-month loan from Derby County.
* On Saturday Solihull Moors lost to Blyth 2-0. Tomorrow (Saturday) they face Vauxhall Motors in the league.
