TWO new signings have checked in at Damson Park to help Bob Faulkner’s side beat the dreaded drop.
Defender Tom Bonner moves to the borough from rivals Hinckley United alongside midfielder Lee Downes who has signed from Redditch.
At 21 years of age, Bonner represents a ‘good bit of business’ according to the long-serving boss who is looking forward to seeing him in action.
“He’s a left-sided player who can play in a number of positions and will provide good cover.
“With experience in this league he will prove to be a good signing, and with time on his hands he will become a better player.
“He’s hungry for it so we’ll see what he can do.
Joining him in the relegation fight is former Redditch captain Downes who moved from the Valley Stadium as part of a mid-season shuffle from manager Gary Whild.
Faulkner believes the 25-year-old will add some much-needed experience into the ranks and feels that Redditch’s loss is Moors’ gain.
“He’s a centre midfielder who will add some bite into our team.
“I saw him play for Stafford when they were in the Conference (Blue Square Premier) so he knows what it takes to get there and perform,” he added.
