A SOLIHULL football team is in desperate need of a new goalkeeper after three of its goal stoppers have been injured in as many weeks.
Silhill FC’s new manager Martin Asante said he can’t believe his luck with the unfortunate injuries, following his recent appointment.
“We’re bottom of the league and I’ve come in to try to halt this bad run, but we’re hampered because we’ve lost three goalies in three weeks,” said Martin. “There’s been some bizarre and freak accidents.
“Last week the keeper went for the ball and something just went in his groin and then this weekend the ‘keeper got a nasty knock to his hand and broke most of his knuckles.”
Martin, whose Silhill 3rds play in the Birmingham and District AFA Division 3, said he is willing to take on any goalkeeper from a youngster to a seasoned player. Anyone interested can call Martin on 07827 884 856.
