Silhill stung by Paget Rangers in the Senior Cup quarter finals

SILHILL suffered the absence through injury of Simon Bradbury, Jamie May and Karl Rogerson, as they slumped to a shock quarter final Senior Cup exit at the hands of in-form Paget Rangers, who hit four goals past them, including three in a decisive 19-minute spell.

Against lower League opposition, Sils’ failure to stamp their quality and authority on the Cup tie from the start proved to be their undoing.

Silhill 1sts are now focussed on training and gearing up for their 17 remaining League fixtures, in their quest for a top four finish in the Premier Division and entry into next season’s Birmingham County FA Vase competition.

Tomorrow Silhill face St Francis at Sharmans Cross Road, kick off 2.30pm.
