INDY Khela bagged a last-minute equaliser to earn Solihull Moors a point in their Blue Square North fixture at home to Alfreton Town on Tuesday night.
Moors, finally kicking off in 2010 after the big freeze, were caught cold early on at Damson Park when Liam Hearn fired the visitors ahead on 24 minutes.
But Moors never gave up and were rewarded in the 89th minute when Khela lashed home from close-range following a free-kick.
The result leaves Moors two points above the drop zone, but they closed the gap on Redditch United after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to visitors Eastwood Town in their return to action.
Last Saturday’s game against Hyde United was called off at the last minute owing to a water-logged pitch. Despite commendable efforts by the groundsman and volunteers to clear the playing surface of snow, the referee was not happy for the game to go ahead.
* The Moors face Corby Town away this Saturday (3pm KO).
