MID-table Solihull Moors take on already-relegated Hyde United tomorrow in their final Blue Square North game of the season.

A dramatic turnaround in form in the final third of the season means that Moors are now safe but, without recent results, Bob Faulkner’s men could well have been in a similar position to that of their opponents.

Improving Moors returned to winning ways in February and have since enjoyed a fine run of form.

And they continued their revival when they beat another relegated side, Hucknall Town, last Saturday.

The Nottinghamshire-based side gave Moors an early shock by racing into the lead but three goals from Scott Rickards, Junior English and Ross Dempster wrapped up a comfortable win.

Antwon Bonnick put the visitors ahead but the first-half belonged to Moors.

Rickards, James McPike, Mark Gardner and Lee Collins all wasted chances before Rickards equalised by ending a wonderful passing move involving at least six players. After the break English put Moors ahead before young forward Dempster confirmed the win late on.

At last week’s presentation vastly-improved Theo Streete picked up both the Players’ and Sponsors’ Player of the Year award.

Jake Sedgemore scooped the Clubman of the Year award and top-scorer Jake Edwards was voted Solihull Moors Supporters Association Player of the Year.
