SOLIHULL Moors FC, members of the Conference North League, will be joined by Solihull Borough Girls FC and their nine girls teams, including two open-age ladies teams.
The move is part of the recent youth development plan Solihull Moors have created to offer a full football structure to both boys and girls in Solihull, which will incorporate up to a total of 32 youth teams playing under the banner of Solihull Moors FC.
Solihull Moors have also agreed with Shirley Little League, who have 130 children from ages four upwards that currently use the Solihull Moors ground at Damson Park, that they will re-name as Solihull Moors Little League for next season and be part of the club.
To celebrate this new initiative, a match is being played at Solihull Moors FC on May 18 at 10.30am, where two of the Solihull Borough Girls Under-13 teams will play what is effectively their last match as Solihull Borough Girls FC.
Also on the day the Little League will be playing lots of matches from 8.30am till 12.30pm and then holding their prize presentation in the main stand after.
This is a free event and is open to everyone to attend, watch a competitive game of girls football, see how the Little League is run, and participate in the entertainment on offer. It is hoped it will be a memorable day out.
Solihull Moors FC are offering as part of the day free family membership to all those that attend which includes parents and children.
