ST MARGARET’S C of E Primary School is celebrating its most successful football season. The boys team, pictured left, has won five trophies, remaining unbeaten in the process, clinching the Solihull Small Schools Regional League and then going on to become ‘Champions League’ Winners.
As well as winning the Diocese of Birmingham (C of E) Cup, the team netted the borough six-a-side trophy. And last week, after being one of 36 teams from across the borough to enter, St Margaret’s capped off an historic season by winning the Solihull Primary Schools ‘FA Cup’ final. During their marathon season, the boys played 34 matches scoring 106 goals.
Manager Matthew Atkins said: “The boys have played some excellent football this season.”
