Leicester Ladies 1st XI 2 Olton Ladies 1st XI 0
Once again Olton had to travel to one of the top teams with just one substitute – unfortunately this was to a rampant Leicester keen to keep their 100 per cent record.
From the off Leicester dominated the game, most of which was played in the Olton half.
On 15 minutes the Olton defence were unable to deal with a ball bouncing across the ‘D’ at waist height which fell to Kerry Williams to deflect in for Leicester to take the lead.
Olton continued to fight and for a spell in the second half were starting to influence the play in midfield, but were restricted to a few breakaway attempts and never really threatened the Leicester goal.
On 54 minutes another bouncing ball across the Olton D was pounced upon at the near post by Rebecca Herbert, who skillfully deflected the ball up into the roof of the net. Game one down and a drive back with no points for Olton.

Sutton Coldfield Ladies 1st XI 3
At least the weather improved on Sunday, and a Sutton team undefeated so far this season popped down the road to take on their neighbours.
The travelling supporters soon had something to cheer as Sutton took the lead after approx 15 minutes, and then increased the lead to two before half-time.
In the early stages of the second half Olton had the better of the play and were rewarded with a goal when Rachel Walker converted a short corner with a lovely strike from the top of the D.
Olton continued to press and looked likely to equalize, but were thwarted by some last-ditch tackles and a couple of great saves. The game was then put outside Olton’s reach when, while Olton were down to 10 men Sutton were awarded a penalty flick, which- after a little confusion - they converted.
Olton went after the game but were unable to break down the Sutton defence. This was a disappointing weekend for the Olton Ladies, but not really any cause for complaint about the results.
