Highgate United have started pre-season training at Tythe Barn Lane, Shirley, in preparation for their fourth Midland Football Alliance campaign scheduled to begin on August 6.
Sessions are on Wednesdays from 7.15pm and Saturdays at 12 noon.
With his number two Micky Robbins having to step down owing to personal commitments manager Mark Burge will be assisted by club coach Darren Carmell, Brian Plested and Gez Cooke in what is likely to be a much stronger league.
Promoted Tividale, Heather St John and Gresley FC (formerly Gresley Rovers) are likely to be joined by Atherstone Town and Shepshed Dynamo, both of which are stepping down after a number of seasons plying their trade at a higher level.
The Highgate boss will be looking to strengthen his squad and will be pleased to see anyone with either experience of or aspirations to play at MFA level, all of whom are welcome at the club’s training sessions or who can contact either Mark (07855211980) or Brian Plested (07531002389).
