UNSTOPPABLE Dorian Benjamin bagged a season-high 41 points as high-flying Solihull Basketball Academy defeated Cardiff Celts 91-71.
The prolific points scorer once again guided the Sixth Form College to success while teammate Kofi Josephs added his support with a further 27 points.
At the half-way stage the scores were tied at 41 apiece but a sudden burst from Benjamin and Josephs late in the third quarter gave the hosts a comfortable 17-point lead.
And Solihull wrapped up the game with just minutes to go leaving coach Richard Parker pleased with his players’ efforts.
“Dorian Benjamin again showed that on offence he is a threat from all parts of the court,” he said. “We know that Kofi Josephs can score, but he needs to improve his decision making and his percentage will improve.”
Solihull suffered a disappointing 72-47 defeat at the hands of Manchester in the semi-finals of the National Cup on Sunday.
