It promises to be a sensational week at the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship this year.

Headlining the star professionals is event host Tony Jacklin CBE who is flying in from Florida with US senior Open legend Larry Laoretti. Another USA golfing legend, Doug Sanders, is travelling from Houston especially for the event to add his golfing flair, colour, and style.

The field of players comprises more than 30 European Tour and Senior Tour representatives and 30 of the best regional PGA pros from all over the UK including last year’s winner Richard O’Hanlon.

Among the players to look out for are past French Open champions Graeme Storm, Malcolm McKenzie, and Phil Golding. Past Ryder Cup players include Tommy Horton, Malcolm Gregson, Gordon J Brand, Maurice Bembridge and Paul Broadhurst. There are several up and coming stars of today including Scott Jamieson, Gary Boyd, Lee Slattery, Robert Dinwiddie, and David Dixon.

The UK’s No.1 all time amateur, Gary Wolstenholme, who is now a star of the Seniors’ Tour, will also be there and England’s top Lady amateur

15-year-old Charley Hull will be teaming up again with Nailcote’s resident touring professional Mark Mouland who has just started a fresh career on the Seniors’ Tour and Champions’ Tour.

And joining all the pros is a terrific team of celebrity players who will entertain all the visiting spectators. Jasper Carrott will be taking up the challenge of the Cromwell course along with ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Len Goodman. Manchester United (and Villa) legend Peter Schmeichel is back again and he will be met by Villa star and Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally, England legend Peter Shilton and the one and only “Mr Maximum” Willie Thorne to name just a few.

The tented village offers a wide range of catering and fun for all the family including a golf simulator competition, chipping games, face painting, massages and beauty products from John Lewis

Public car parking is free and tickets are just £10 for adults and £5 for children under 13 and over 65s.
