Edwardians 78 v Trinity Guild 0
EDWARDIANS racked up their biggest win of the season at bottom-placed Trinity Guild on Saturday.
Good supporting play from winger Tom Evans placed the ball at the back of the ruck for the winger to pick up and go over in the corner.
Prop Sean Bakewell gave the ball to captain Michael Bourke who went in under the sticks, scrum half Mark Garrick converting the first of nine.
Fly half David Gray covered good ground and found a final pass to the run of Johnson, who went in under the posts.
A darting John Ferdinand run drew the last man, the pass went to Jervis, and he ran in from 25 metres out to score under the posts.
Garrick added to his points tally soon after the restart, receiving a ball off the top of a lineout and racing in under the posts, converting his own effort.
Matt Gill powered over in the corner with two defenders hanging off him.
A break from Garrick sent player/coach John Corr through to score. Dan Johnson left Trinity’s winger in space to score twice in a matter of minutes.
Some good offloads in the contact area put Bourke in for his second of the game. Ferdinand offloaded to Jervis, who crashed over for his second of the game. Johnson scored his second of the game in the corner.
Eds are away to Alcester on Saturday.
